Inside, their bakery was already churning out some of their famous bread, and their decor – faux hunting trophies, sacks of peanuts – was up on the walls between the booths and tables.

Rappler got to try the food at Texas Roadhouse a week before it opened. Here’s what we were served:

The bread may be complimentary, but it’s worth a separate mention because of its taste and reputation. Texas Roadhouse’s delicious sweet bread is baked fresh every 5 minutes and served with honey cinnamon butter – a must-try if you decide to visit the restaurant.

The sirloin steak comes with one made-from-scratch side.

We also got to try a bone-in ribeye at the event. This steak can serve up to two people, and therefore comes with two made-from-scratch sides.

Texas Roadhouse’s steaks are grilled on an open fire and cooked according to your preferred doneness.
