SNEAK PEEK: Japan's Pablo cheese tarts to open in PH
MANILA, Philippines – Pablo is coming to Manila!
No, not Kanye West. We're talking about Pablo cheese tarts, Japan's popular large gooey cheese tarts.
Pablo is set to open 5 branches in Metro Manila, with the first softly opening on Wednesday, September 14, 6pm at Robinsons Place Manila. It's set to open fully on Thursday, September 15.
At the original Pablo in Japan, you can dictate your cheese tart's doneness, like a steak – rare for an extra gooey tart, and medium rare for a slightly firmer one.
The Philippine branch is only offering the medium rare version for now, but it's still has that signature Pablo cheese tart texture, especially when they're cut open straight out of the oven.
And rest assured that each cheese tart will be baked fresh everyday – Pablo has an open kitchen where you can watch them make your large cheese tart – they can easily be shared by 4 people, though it is possible for one person to eat an entire tart too.
Here's a look at what you can get at Pablo.
Freshly baked cheese tart (P599)
Pablo's signature original cheese tart, creamy and slightly tart, best served fresh.
Tip: Pablo's cheese tarts are best eaten fresh, but if you can't eat them right away, you can keep it in the fridge – it tasted great chilled too! Reheating these tarts is not recommended.
Freshly baked matcha cheese tart (P699)
These matcha cheese tarts are filled with red bean paste and mochi balls.
Freshly baked chocolate cheese tart (P699)
These aren't any ordinary chocolate cheese tarts – cut into them and you'll see pockets of melted chocolate!
Cheese or matcha soft serve – cup or cone (P150)
Aside from cheese tarts, Pablo also serves cheese or matcha flavored soft serve ice cream. Order each flavor individually or swirl them both together.
Pablo also sells boxed goods like sabrel cheese (P499 for 9 pieces), which are also available in black or matcha flavors, and millefeuille (P699 for one box) available in cheese and matcha.
