Rico’s Lechon is opening branches in Manila
(UPDATED) Cebuanos living in Manila get a special treat before opening day

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Are you a fan of Rico’s Lechon?

Here’s a reason to celebrate: the popular Cebuano restaurant is set to open not just one but several locations in Metro Manila, with the first one opening on August 3 at the First Strip in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

In a press release, Meat Concepts Corp. President George Pua said they’re looking forward to bringing the very popular chain to Manila. The company is eyeing spots in Fort Strip BGC, Tiendesitas and Portico Pasig City, Glorietta Makati, Cloverleaf Mall, UP Town Center Quezon City, Ayala Feliz Marikina, Ayala Macapagal, and Blue Bay Walk, Pasay.

“I’ve been a patron of Rico’s Lechon for years and personally believe it’s the best. We want to be able to have Cebuanos take pride in sharing this with the rest of the country, and eventually the world,” he said.

In tribute to its Cebu roots, the restaurant is inviting all Cebuanos residing in Metro Manila to a free Rico’s Lechon Buffet on July 29 at the Fort Entertainment Complex in Taguig.

88 Cebuanos will be chosen every hour from 11 am to 10 pm, with each one getting 50-minute access to a free Filipino buffet, and 250 grams of Rico’s lechon. Cebuanos who want to try their luck can register online on July 18.

Rico’s Lechon has been recognized as among the best lechons in Cebu. It was also awarded at the Asia-Pacific Stevie International Business Award in Tokyo, Japan last 2017, and was given a Certificate of Excellence from Tripadvisor.
