Grand Wine Event 2013: Masterclass edition

MANILA, Philippines – In 2012, with some of my good friends in tow, we headed over to Marriott Hotel in Resorts World for the Grand Wine Experience.

I had no idea of what was in store for us. I was told that there would be various wines from different suppliers and a grand spread to accompany the overflowing vino. Little did I know that it would be a smorgasbord of different fare from all over the world:

The display was complete with a big chocolate fountain and unlimited strawberries that would delight any chocolate lover!

If you are a wine drinker and enthusiast like myself, the 2013 event promises to have an even better selection than last year’s!

The Grand Wine event is dubbed “the biggest wine and spirits event in Southeast Asia.” It is going on its 13th year, hosted by Philippine Wine Merchants and Ralph’s Wines and Spirits. It will feature over 500 different wines and spirits.

This 2013, the event is themed “Masterclass,” a tasting course that focuses on the principle of food pairing with wine, as well as an educational component from the winemakers themselves about grape varieties and the like!

Grand Wine Event 2013 is on November 15, Friday, at 5 pm. You’ll gain a better perspective of your favorite libation, as well as overflowing wine and a wide array of cuisine from all around the world, all night.

You’ll also have the chance to meet Manila’s personalities, social elite, wine enthusiasts, foodies and all the major players in the F & B industry. Big raffle prizes are to be given away such as high-end bottles of wines, Lucerne Watches, round trip plane tickets and more.
