MANILA, Philippines – It was a challenge straight out of Top Chef – cook according to the colors, and in turn, the ingredients, assigned to you. This was the task posed to the participating chefs and food industry personalities at the 2nd annual Food and Wine festival held at the Mall of Asia grounds.  

This year, the chefs competed in pairs, judged according to criteria, which include being the first to sell 400 meals or sell all their plates, as well as sustainability and creativity. The winner will announced Monday, November 24. 

Let’s take a look at the menu the chefs whipped up:  

Purple team: Chefs Marvin Agustin and Peter Ayson 

Key ingredients: purple cabbage, eggplants, grapes
