Rappler, Kalibrr ink partnership for jobs portal
Starting this month, job seekers can discover career opportunities and resources via jobs.rappler.com

MANILA, Philippines – Rappler and Kalibrr have launched a partnership on Friday, March 18, aimed at providing Filipinos with better resources to find the perfect job.

Starting this month, job seekers can discover thousands of career opportunities via jobs.rappler.com. The portal will be powered by Kalibrr, which redefined business recruitment in the Philippines by combining technology with personalized coaching to help potential employees find better jobs.

“There’s a tremendous amount of alignment in terms of the mission that Kalibrr and Rappler has, in terms of the culture of our two organizations, and in terms of our focus in building an impactful product,” said Paul Rivera, Kalibrr’s co-founder and CEO. “So it just makes sense that Rappler and Kalibrr work together.”

Kalibrr started out as an online assessment and training platform for the BPO industry. Today, the tech startup’s jobs and employer base has grown to include leading companies such as the Ayala Group, Globe, and San Miguel Corporation.

Aside from job posts, potential employees will also have access to curated content and advice that will appear on Rappler’s career section.

“In Rappler, what we’re good at is journalism, and creating communities. In Kalibrr, what they’re focusing on is matching jobs and assisting people so they can get the jobs they want,” said Maria Ressa, Rappler’s CEO and Executive Editor. “Those who will want to look for jobs are going to need the news that we have so they become better at their communities. It’s actually a very good synergy.”

“This partnership will enable people not just to learn about what’s happening in the world around them, but we’re actually giving them the tools to shape their own lives,” added Dexter Ligot-Gordon, Kalibrr’s co-founder and COO.

Together, the two organizations hope to improve the country’s career landscape by providing innovative tools for employers and building a better community of empowered and informed job seekers.

“We want real world change,” said Ressa. – Rappler.com
