Nothing says Halloween more than home made popcorn balls. By changing up the recipe for your popcorn flavor and swapping out processed sugar with the healthier version in coco sugar, you’ll have parents and kids alike looking for handfuls of this Coco Cayenne Popcorn.

SNACK TIME. DIY Kale Chips from Lemons and Greens. Wash and spin organic kale. Remove fibrous stems, toss in quality olive oil, and season with ZIN Manila Lemon and Rosemary Finishing Salt. Bake at 350 F for 15 minutes or until crispy. Photo by Jay Santos

Play with your food

SHRUNKEN HEADS. Shrunken apple heads can be carved the night before your party and placed in punch without turning brown by soaking for a few minutes in lemon lime soda. Photo by Jay Santos

Taking easy dishes that you can make ahead of time and just adding a few details will not only level up your food, but tie it in with the theme and get the kids to try something new.

Using tortillas cut up in the shapes of spooky Halloween creatures and toasted in the oven, can add whimsical fun to your taco dip. OR Carving shrunken heads from apples peeled and soaked in lemon lime soda will stop the shrunken head from turning brown in your home made punch.

You don’t have to spend a ton of money on Halloween decorations. With a little creativity, a few recycled items and some spray paint can turn regular items in the house into a tablescape that is interesting, friendly, and affordable for even the littlest of goblins.

Good old-fashioned fun

Get the kids involved in an activity that is both educational and fun can only open up more opportunities for the children to experiment with fun flavors in the kitchen as well as learning more about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) activities.

DIY. DIY Packed sewing kits from Ant’s Pocket are easy to complete in a short amount of time. Asking a supplier like Ant’s Pocket to come in and create a themed felt activity can take the pressure off of having to create a program and a structured party., keeping it casual with crafts and conversation. Conversely, having a few arts and crafts ready to go for visitors who would like to just sit and talk and craft together is a nice touch for the older crowd. Having a kiddie corner set up for the kids, will also insure that they have a safe place to plop down with each other and maybe play some board games or work on Halloween crafts of their own.

You don’t have to do it all

QUICK AND EASY. By purchasing ready to bake mini pizza crusts from Pastry Armoire, you can serve quick and easy appetizers to both kids and adults. Photo by Jay Santos

One thing is for sure. No one likes a hostess who is stressed out and trying to do it all and feeling like she is falling short. Ordering fresh, preservative free, high quality, ready to eat dishes can keep Frankenstein’s bride looking like the queen that she really is.

STRESS-FREE PLANNING. Taking advantage of ready to eat products like Jam Foods spare ribs, all you have to do is preheat the oven and set the timer. Serve with your favorite BBQ sauce and enjoy the time with your friends and family! Photo by Mish Aventajado
