British supermodel David Gandy coming to Manila
MANILA, Philippines - British model David Gandy, best known as the face of Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, is the new image model of SM Men's Fashion. He joins the brand's other endorsers: Hideo Muraoka, Daniel Matsunaga, Fabio Ide and Rafael do Prado.

According to Ayen Florendo, SM Men's Fashion assistant vice president for Marketing, Gandy will arrive in the Philippines this October to walk the runway at Philippine Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2014. Other details about the brand's campaign starring Gandy will be released soon.
Gandy was born in 1980 and grew up in Billericay, Essex. He was a marketing student at the University of Gloucestershire in 2001 when his friends entered him in a modeling competition which he won. He broke into modeling in 2005 but became a superstar in 2006 after becoming the muse of Dolce & Gabbana.
In 2009, Gandy was voted 3rd most successful model in the world by Forbes Magazine.
In a write-up in vogue.co.uk, top fashion photographer Mario Testino has this to say about Gandy:
"David has something of what the Eighties supermodels have. He radiates health and positivity. I think he has what it takes to be very big. It's exciting because it signifies a real shift in men's fashion. The male model world is changing."
Gandy is also the brand ambassador of Jaguar.
