Baguio's famous strawberry shortcake is finally heading to Quezon City and Mandaluyong City

Baguio City favorite Vizco’s Restaurant and Bakeshop is finally making its way to Metro Manila, via branches in Quezon City and Mandaluyong City.

According to the local bakery’s Facebook page, Vizco’s is set to open a branch in SM Annex North EDSA and one in SM Megamall Building A.

“Right now there is no exact date on what day they will open, but it’s sure that it will be on September,” Vizco’s told Rappler.

Vizco’s, best known for their homemade strawberry shortcake using Baguio’s famously juicy strawberries, will be offering their Metro Manila-based fans their signature cakes and pastries line-up for take-out and delivery. Vizco’s told Rappler that they’re still unsure if their new branches will offer dine-in options.

Since the start of March 2020’s lockdown, several online shops and resellers have been delivering Vizco’s best-selling cakes to customers in Metro Manila.

Vizco’s Bakeshop and Restaurant’s first branch along Session Road, Baguio City was founded in 2004. Since then, they’ve opened two more branches in Baguio AyalaLand TechnoHub and Camp John Hay, with take-out kiosks in different malls.

Aside from their strawberry shortcake served in different shapes and sizes, they’re also known for their mango cake, ube cake, and carrot cake, among others. – Rappler.com
