17R Bakehouse’s latest invention is their homemade sourdough donut, made with no preservatives, no artificial colors, and no food coloring. The golden-brown donut is light, chewy, and tangy, just like a good sourdough; it also isn’t heavy or greasy at all. It still packs a bite, though, and owes its subtle sweetness to the sugar glaze it’s coated with. One box of 8 original glazed donuts costs P360.

17R’s other flavors are worth a mention, too – there’s the crunchy chocolate pistachio, the chocolatey Twix (with real bits of the chocolate bar on top), the white chocolate matcha for green tea lovers, and the blueberry crumble, which tastes like a comforting pie, thanks to its strong cinnamon spice. Their special flavors cost P400 for a box of 6.

If it’s your first time ordering, you’re better off getting an assorted box of 6, which includes two original glazed and 4 special donuts for P360, because trying all flavors is a must.

If you’re into the tangy-sweet combo, 17R’s newest donut flavor, the coconut tamarind filled donut, is a must-try. Their sourdough donut is filled with a silky coconut buttercream, topped with a light, tangy tamarind glaze and crunchy, sweet toasted coconut.
