
The flavor creator behind Indonesia’s famed Indomie Mi Goreng instant noodles, Nunuk Nuraini, died at the age of 59 on Wednesday, January 27.
According to Indonesian media outlet Kompas, the news was confirmed by Indofood’s Head of Public Relations Nurlita Novi Arlaida, who said that Nuraini has “returned peacefully to Allah’s lap.” No cause of death was revealed.
Nuraini, who graduated with a food technology degree from Padjadjaran University, was responsible for the flavor development of Indonesian company Indofood’s instant noodle brand Indomie for nearly 30 years.
Aside from the well-known Mi Goreng flavor, Nuraini also created Indomie’s Soto, Chicken Curry, Sambal Matah, and Rendang flavors. – Rappker.com
