Let’s Talk Food: Local restos struggled in 2020 – what’s in store for 2021?
For the first episode of 'Let's Talk Food' series, we talk to The Moment Group's Abba Napa and Papa Diddi's Paul Perez

Undeniably, 2020 was a very challenging year for the food and service industry. While some restaurants had to close shop, others managed to cope, survive, and still thrive, despite the circumstances the pandemic has forced many business owners into.

Among those who managed to stay afloat were local ice cream shop Papa Diddi’s, owned by chief sorbetero Paul Perez, and restaurant group The Moment Group (Manam, Ooma, 8Cuts, Mo’ Cookies), co-founded by Abba Napa.

In the first episode of Rappler’s food series, Let’s Talk Food, lifestyle reporter Steph Arnaldo looks back on how 2020 was for these restaurateurs.

Here we learn their key take-aways, predictions for this coming year, and what 2021 has in store for them and the local food and beverage industry. – Rappler.com
