LIST: Halloween-themed treats, pastries

We may not be trick-or-treating this year, but we can still don our costumes from home. With Halloween looming around the corner, check out these spook-tacular cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and DIY activities to get you and your family in the Halloween spirit! 

Bizu Patisserie

The well-known gourmet patisserie is offering limited-edition treats for Halloween, like their Halloween Cake Pops, made from chocolate moist cake and vanilla for P52 a piece and P719 per dozen.

Bizu also has Ghost Cookies, shortbread cookies topped with icing and chocolate ganache for P52 a piece, and Creepy Finger Cookies, finger-shaped shortbread cookies topped with almond slices. 

For a creative, do-it-yourself activity, you can try out the DIY Fuzzy Monster Cake Kit (P2,950), which includes Bizu’s moist choco cake, buttercream icing, cake pops, creepy cookies, and other fun, edible decor.

Krispy Kreme

This Halloween season, Krispy Kreme offers limited edition flavors such as the Halloween Sprinkles, Boo!, Mr. Mummy, Jack the Pumpkin, Frankie, and the RIP in assorted boxes of 6, dozens, and double dozens from October 25 to 31.  A box of one dozen pre-assorted donuts is P570. 

You may place your orders in advance through their site, or enjoy same-day delivery through Grab and Foodpanda. 

Cha Tuk Chak

For a Halloween exclusive, the Thai milk-tea-specialty store has the Spooktacular Series Mochi Monsters Thai Milk Tea, which includes the Frankenthai (P130), the Hazelnut Cheesecake (P140), and the Jack-O-Choco  (P130) . You can enjoy these treats with mochi sinkers for P20. 

Orders can be placed via GrabFood, Foodpanda, and LalaFood. 

J.Co Donuts & Coffee

In line with the season, J.Co Donuts and Coffee released a limited edition “CreepItReal” series, featuring the Choco Webster, a chocolate-glazed donut lined with white cream, the Jack O’ Lantern, a pumpkin-themed donut topped with orange coating, and the One-Eyed Jack, an avocado cream-filled, chocolate glazed donut topped with choco crumbs.

Cupcake Lab PH

Cupcake enthusiasts can customize cupcakes at home with Cupcake Lab PH’s Halloween DIY Kits. Each kit includes 4 cupcakes (red velvet, chocolate, chocolate chip, halloween-special cupcake), a 3-colored variety of buttercream, sprinkles, chocolates, syrup, and other halloween-themed treats.

DC Delights

DC Delights is an online-based bakeshop that specializes in cookies. This Halloween, they offer a DIY Cookie Monster Cupcake Kit for P799.

Inspired by the famous Sesame Street character, each kit comes with 6 plain vanilla cupcakes, 400g of vanilla frosting, 1 bag of marshmallows, 1 bag of dark chocolate, 1 piping bag, and 1 piping tip. For step-by-step instructions, you can view them on their website. 

MDJ Cookies

MDJ Cookies is a homegrown bakery based in Ayala Heights Village that specializes in brown butter and birthday cake-flavored cookies. For a seasonal Halloween treat, they offer Cookie Monster Crinkles, a take on the classic crinkle but with cream cheese milk and fondant faces. 

You may avail the Cookie Monster Crinkles throughout October until November 13, 2020. Orders may be placed through their Instagram account. 

Juju Baked This

Juju Baked This is a homegrown Pasig-based bakeshop that specializes in sugar cookies. This Halloween, Juju Baked offers limited-edition halloween almond sugar cookie boxes.

For P350, each box comes with 6 cookies, featuring spooky-themed Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Kuromi, Pompompurin, and others.
