Filipino chocolatier Auro bagged the “Best In Competition” title in the Plain/Origin Milk Bar category during the International Chocolate Awards 2020, for its 50% Regalo Single-Varietal Milk Chocolate bar, beating Japanese brand Meiji.
The Asia-Pacific Bean-to-Bar and Chocolatier Competition was held in Pingtung, Taiwan on October 12.
Auro’s dark milk chocolate bar also bagged gold medals for the Chocolate Maker, Growing Country, and Direct Traded categories.
The artisanal chocolatier was the lone Philippine representative in the competition this year.
Auro also bagged 7 prestigious awards at the annual Great Taste 2020 event in the United Kingdom in September.
Launched only in 2017, Auro Chocolate has now collected a total of 35 international awards under its belt. The premium bean-to-bar chocolate brand prides itself in its sustainable practices and creation of quality Filipino products. – with reports from Wyanet Alcibar/Rappler.com
