Salcedo Community Market to move locations

Makati City’s Salcedo Community Market is temporarily moving locations from its usual space in Jaime Velasquez Park, Tordesillas Street to Paseo Center starting Saturday, July 24.

As the Jaime Velasquez Park is currently being renovated, the outdoor weekend market will now be stationed at the Paseo Center parking area along Valero corner Sedeño Street, Paseo De Roxas, which is just a short walk away. The market will run from 7 am to 2 pm every Saturday.

Guests can expect the usual stalls of fresh veggies, fruits, seafood, meats, home-cooked meals, pastries, dessert, bread, drinks, flowers, coffee, artisan handicrafts, and more.

In a July 15 post, Salcedo Community Market announced that “in line with IATF’s recent announcement,” kids five years old and above may already visit outdoor establishments, such as their market. They advised customers to “still observe all safety precautions,” and that minors must be accompanied by their parents/guardians at all times.

No announcement has been made on when they would return to the Jaime Velasquez Park, or if their new Paseo Center Parking location would also be offering al fresco seating for guests. – Steph Arnaldo/Rappler.com
