TGIFriday’s offers new plant-based burgers on menu
TGIFriday's new burgers are made with Beyond Meat's meat-free patties!

American comfort food restaurant TGIFriday’s has launched new options for vegetarian diners – a line-up of plant-based burgers, made with Beyond Meat’s meat-free patties.

Beyond Meat’s “beef” patty – which is made from a blend of soy protein, rice, mushrooms, and isolate – is used in 4 of TGIFriday’s new plant-based offerings.

The Signature JD Burger (P725), or Jack Daniels burger, uses a glaze made from the liquor, sandwiched with American cheese and classic burger fixings (tomato, onion, lettuce, pickles), in between a brioche bun.

The Cheeseburger (P725) is the same, only without the Jack Daniels sauce.

For fans of barbecue flavors, the BBQ Burger (P725) has a rich BBQ sauce lathered on top of the Beyond Meat patty, along with the rest of the burger works and a brioche bun.

Lastly, there’s the Shitake Truffle Burger (P745) – the more premium option of the 4. Aside from the patty and the veggies, the brioche bun also has a creamy shitake mushroom sauce and truffle aioli inside.

Each burger is served with a side of potato crisps. You can also opt to have the cheese removed from your burger.

TGIFriday’s new plant-based burgers are available for dine-in, take-out, and delivery from their branches in Bonifacio High Street, Mall of Asia, Glorietta, Robinsons Malate, Alabang Town Center, Evia, Solenad, Eastwood, Southwoods, and Ayala Cebu. – Rappler.com
