Here’s the tea: Even if the world at large is not ready for it, the realm of erotica and pleasure can also be ruled by women.
Rappler has partnered with SheDecides Philippines, a movement promoting the fundamental rights of adolescent girls and women, and SexAndSensibilities.com to get a sip on what’s brewing this lockdown through the webinar series “Spilling the Tea.” (Watch Episode 1 here.)
For the second episode, we hope to help remove the stigma surrounding pleasure and erotica by talking about how women are stepping up their game by brandishing pleasure and claiming it as their own.
Our second episode, “Pleasure FOR women, BY women,” is hosted by Ana P. Santos, Rappler’s sex and gender columnist and founder of SexAndSensibilties.com, and Renz Rollorata, co-founder of Lauvette.ph, a fun and welcoming sex toy shop that you don’t have to hide from your friends.
Our guests for this episode are:
- Dr. Rica Cruz – sex and relationships therapist, Ateneo de Manila University
- DarlingKink – visual artist focusing on erotica, female anatomy, and the many facets of pleasure, including self-love, relationships, kinks, fetishes, and the emotions that come along with it. Follow her on @darlingkink on instagram.
- Trisha O’bannon – co-founder of Now Open PH, a sex education platform by and for the Filipino youth, and a co-host of their weekly podcast
- Marco Sumayao – Co-founder of Deus Sex Machina, a comedic erotica live reading show
Catch the premiere of this episode on Thursday, September 24, at 8 pm.
