Megan Young to host Miss World 2015 in Sanya, China
MANILA, Philippines – Miss World 2013 Megan Young will return as host in the Miss World 2015 pageant in Sanya, China, on Saturday, December 19.
This was confirmed by the Miss World organization on its website. In a short interview, Megan said she was very excited to be again hosting the pageant. She first hosted it in 2014, when she crowned Rolene Strauss of South Africa.
"It really is an honor hosting Miss World for two years in a row. Not every Miss World gets a chance to do this, so I think it is a great opportunity that Julia Morley has given to me and entrusted me with. I absolutely love the competition. It amazes me how every year is so different. From what I’ve seen, this year’s production is going to be the best yet," she said.
Megan is also thrilled that she will be reunited with her co-host from last year, Tim Vincent.
"I adore Tim and I am so happy to be hosting with him again. Last year, during the times I thought I was going to fumble, Tim actually saved me. He is a total professional and he is proof that a great host isn’t just about speaking or enunciating well, but someone that can also support their co-hosts and make them feel comfortable on stage," she said.
Former MTV VJ Angela Chow also join Megan and Tim as the third host. Angela hosted the Miss World pageant from 2003 to 2011.
Since her arrival in China, Megan has been posting photos including a photo of her, Miss World 2012 Wenxia Yu, and current Miss World Rolene Strauss.
Since relinquishing the title, Megan has been busy in Philippine showbiz. She currently plays the title role in GMA's MariMar and co-hosts Starstruck on the same network. – Rappler.com
