LOOK: Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa returns to PH after win
MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa arrived in Manila on Friday afternoon, November 11, after spending time in Japan as the pageant's new titleholder.
Kylie was met by Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc chairperson Stella Araneta and members of the press at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport terminal 2.
In her speech, Kylie said that she was very happy to be back home and to fulfill a promise she made to her supporters.
"I went there wearing the Philippine sash and came back with the Miss International sash. I came back home with the crown I promised you. And I do this all for the Philippines," she said.
In an interview with TV Patrol, Kylie said about coming back to the Philippines: "It feels great, and I've been preparing for this moment since a few weeks ago. I was excited to bring home the crown."
Kylie said that she will fulfill her duties in the Philippines before flying back to Japan for more projects.
She's set to return to her hometown, Baguio, on November 26.
Kylie was crowned Miss International on October 27 at Tokyo Dome by Miss International 2015 Edymar Martinez. She is the 6th Filipino to win the title. – Rappler.com
