Neil, 29, won the title over 29 contestants from around the world last February 14. In an interview with the press during his victory party Friday, February 20, Neil said he was confident, but not complacent of his chances. He also made sure he was prepared for the formal wear, national costume and question and answer portion.

Neil also shared that his roommate, Korea’s Youngho Park was amazed by his dedication such as waking up in the morning, which Neil credits to his discipline as a police officer.

Neil, who arrived Thursday night from Korea will have a full schedule of activities. He is set to meet with his superiors on Monday, February 23 to discuss his work, do TV guestings, and travel to other countries as part of his duties as Mister International. He will have the title for 8 months.

Neil didn’t say much about his personal life, or his girlfriend – though he’s confirmed to be in a relationship. He did say a little, however, about the possibility of wedding bells after his stint as Mister International ends.

 As to whether he will extend his leave, Neil said he will talk to his superiors about it.

At the event, it was announced that Unisilver, one of Neil’s sponsors will donate part of the money from Neil’s special line of jewelry to the families of the 44 police officers killed in Mamasapano, Maguindanao last January 25. Commenting on whether he will join showbiz, Neil said he will definitely go back to being a police officer once he ends his work with Mister International.
