IN PHOTOS: Pia Wurtzbach welcomes ‘pageant sisters’ to PH

MANILA, Philippines – Pia Wurtzbach is set to crown her Binibining Pilipinas successor on Sunday, April 17, and she’s invited her friends from Miss Universe 2015 to watch. (READ: LIVE UPDATES: Bb Pilipinas 2016 coronation night)

Miss USA and Miss Universe 2nd runner-up Olivia Jordan arrived in the Philippines on Saturday, while Miss Malaysia Vanessa Tevi Kumares and Miss Myanmar May Thaw arrived a day before. All 3 have been chronicling their trips on social media.

Right before she left, Olivia posted about how thankful she was for being able to fly to the Philippines, saying, “I’m grateful, and I pinch myself everyday that I get to live this dream life. Go after your dreams guys and dolls and appreciate each moment you feel them coming true.”

Olivia also posted a video message for Pia: “Hi Pia, I’m so excited, my bags are packed and so it’s official, I’m coming to join you. Thank you so much for inviting me to the Philippines, this is seriously a huge dream come true, I’ve never traveled this far, and I am so excited to watch you crown your successor! So happy for you, and proud of you and everything that you’re doing. And I’m so excited to meet all of your fans, and all of the people that have been so supportive to me too. See you soon Pia!” she said, before blowing a kiss.

When she got to the Philippines, Olivia made friends with K9 Rex, the K9 unit at Pia’s hotel, and met up with Pia.

Olivia and Pia became close friends after the pageant. The two have been roommates in New York since January.

As Vanessa and May arrived a day before Olivia, and the two have been posting more photos of their stay so far. Aside from meeting up with Pia and other friends, the two have also tried Filipino food already.
