Ms PH Earth Bacolod City: Alyssa Marie Villarico
MANILA, Philippines - In line with the Miss Philippines Earth 2013 pageant's water conservation theme, this 21-year-old TV host says, "Barren forests also affect our water supply so plant trees to replenish our watershed."
Describe your childhood/growing-up years (8-13 years old):
In my childhood years, I played in the street with my playmates and ate anything. I was also active in different activities whether in school or outside and my parents were really supportive.
Most memorable moment:
I have lots of happy childhood memories but there's only one which I really consider as the most memorable. It was during Christmas and New Year of 2006. For me, it's truly memorable because my family was complete. My relatives who live abroad and whom I hadn't seen for the longest time were all present.
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
I have a passion for fashion and so one of my advocacies is to harness the power of fashion to change the way the nation shops. I would like to encourage everyone and fashion-conscious women to use eco-friendly bags instead of the usual plastic bags that we use in the market.
