Ms PH Earth Mabalacat City: Aura Donna Garon
MANILA, Philippines - In line with the Miss Philippines Earth 2013 pageant's water conservation theme, this 22-year-old ambassador for Global Workers and Family Federation Inc. says, "Water cooperation in the Philippines primarily concerns the availability of potable water for the entire country. In order to achieve this, we need in-depth research on water systems and treatment."
Describe your childhood/growing-up years (8-13 years old):
I dealt with people of different backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicity; especially in the US where I learned to adapt yet still be Filipino.
Most memorable moment:
My most memorable moment is when we won the National Model Family of the Year 2010. It was such a great honor for my family and I to be recognized by the national government despite the challenges of migration.
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
My environmental advocacy is summed up in 3 words: Awareness, Action, and Achievement. To empower people, you must first awaken their minds and fill it with truth. Once they become aware, only then will they act for advancement. And when people act upon a matter, there is always an accomplishment.
