Ms PH Earth Nagcarlan: Kimverlyn Suiza
MANILA, Philippines - In line with the Miss Philippines Earth 2013 pageant's water conservation theme, this 24-year-old segment producer says, "Take part and actively participate in implementing rules and programs for water conservation."
Describe your childhood/growing-up years (8-13 years old):
I grew up in a simple, supportive and loving family. Living in an extended family opened my eyes to the different situations that a family encounters and surpasses.
Most memorable moment:
In 2006, doctors detected that I had dengue fever and that I was already in a critical stage when I was taken to the hospital. The most memorable part of it is that I survived the life-threatening part of my life and I now have another lifetime to spend with my family and loved ones and to continue my dreams.
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
My environmental advocacy is to promote conversion of plastic materials into another substantial product that people can use such as plastic chairs, plastic bricks and others. I also believe if the government and the private sector will work hand-in-hand to promote this project, not only will it save our environment but it can also become a source of income for the unemployed.
