Ms PH Earth Olongapo City: Angelee delos Reyes
MANILA, Philippines - In line with the Miss Philippines Earth 2013 pageant's water conservation theme, this 25-year-old marketing head says, "I believe we should do campaigns for information and education on what we can do to nurture water cooperation."
Describe your childhood/growing-up years (8-13 years old):
I belong to a quite big yet happy family. We are not rich so we help one another to sustain our needs and reach our dreams. I grew up with strict parents. We must follow household rules as much as we can. They also keep on reminding us to dream big, work hard for it without compromising our good values, and consider the community, the environment, and the Bible in all our actions.
Most memorable moment:
My most memorable moment is when I flew to China in 2011. It was my first ever plane ride and I travelled alone to represent our country. I almost cried when I saw the beauty of The Great Wall. I wish to share such experience with my loved ones next time.
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
Let's all be aware and learn how to share! Information dissemination is the key to water cooperation. If we raise awareness on the potential and challenges for water cooperation, promote solutions for nurturing it and the roles we can play to be part of such great cause, we can encourage people to share not just knowledge but water itself, until such time that all of us know how to manage our finite and fragile water, ensuring benefits for all.
