Ms PH Earth Quezon City: Sarah Jireh Asido
MANILA, Philippines - In line with the Miss Philippines Earth 2013 pageant's water conservation theme, this 22-year-old high school teacher says, "We must all cooperate in preserving water for it is a source of life. Informing our countrymen about what is happening right now when it comes to water issues will trigger action for them to be involved. Inform, educate, create."
Describe your childhood/growing-up years (8-13 years old):
I had a great childhood. I spent those years with my family. I was a grandfather's girl and I grew up surrounded by great people. During those days, I never felt alone because my family was always behind me in every step I made. My childhood years were very special. That was the time I learned how to believe in myself.
Most memorable moment:
The most memorable moment in my life was the day I received my college degree.
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
I support the planting of trees throughout our country. I support this advocacy for I know that having a green country will not just give us a clean and healthy environment but also save more lives and prevent tragedies like what we had in the past few years.
