Ms PH Earth Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte: Phoebe Estoconing
NAME: Phoebe Ken Diane Estoconing
MUNICIPALITY OR CITY: Tampilisan, Zamboanga Del Norte
How she describes her childhood: I had a happy childhood experience with my friends and relatives. We used to play in the forest to get the different kinds of fruits that we could find, and swim in the rivers without telling our elders or parents because they would not also allow us as it is too far and dangerous, yet we would still go together with my friends and relatives because we wanted to experience fun.
Lessons learned from childhood: The lesson that I learned from my childhood is to explore life because the true essence of life is to experience and enjoy it by appreciating everything that surrounds us.
Most memorable moment: The most memorable moment I had in life was when I had my first horse back riding experience even though I didnt have training on horses yet. I was able to manage the horse and make it run as fast as it could across the road, without having a fear of falling or accidents. I love horses and that is why I took on the challenge.
Environmental advocacy: My environmental advocacy is to keep planting trees because I believe that the true beauty of Mother Earth can only be seen in the color of green, with plenty of trees that will supply oxygen to humans and animals and fresh air to breathe. It keeps our surroundings cooler and we can prevent flash floods and landslides. No matter how we keep our surroundings clean, without trees, it would never be an ideal place to live in. – Rappler.com
