WATCH: Pia Wurtzbach’s beauty pageant makeup tutorial

MANILA, Philippines – Reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach is back with a new makeup tutorial on Facebook, this time showing us how she achieves her glowing (and winning!) look specifically for the stage.

We learn some things about what it’s really like behind the scenes of a pageant, and how to fix your makeup keeping in mind the camera flashes and strong lights. Pia said she’s always done her own makeup, though some women may opt to have a makeup artist on board. 

Pia also shows us some of her tricks – baking makes an appearance again in this video – and in one of them, she actually uses face powder as eyeshadow. 

She says that it may take a little over an hour if you’re doing your own makeup for a pageant – much longer than a usual day-to-day look, as this is makeup for the stage. 

And her one rule? Don’t overdo it. “You have to know when to put your brush down,” says Pia. – Rappler.com
