MANILA, Philippines – Megan Young, the first Filipina to win the Miss World crown, will be greeting well-wishers at a parade from Makati to Pasay on Friday, October 11, starting at 2 pm.

The victory parade will kick off at the Petron station at the corner of Buendia Avenue (Gil Puyat Avenue) and Makati Avenue, and will pass through Ayala Avenue toward EDSA. Megan and her entourage will make a final stop at SM Mall of Asia.

Traffic will be temporarily rerouted to ensure the smooth flow of the celebration.

All vehicles from South Superhighway shall take Buendia (Gil Puyat), then turn right to Makati Avenue toward the Makati commercial district.

Traffic enforcers from the Makati Department of Public Safety will be present to guide motorists.

Past Filipina winners of international pageants, Gemma Cruz (for winning the Miss International title in 1964) and Gloria Diaz (for winning the Miss Universe title in 1969) were also welcomed with the traditional victory parade.
