Heidi Klum channels Marie Antoinette in another sexy ad

TOO HOT? The original version of this promotional artwork for 'Project Runway' is banned in Los Angeles. Image from the 'Project Runway' Facebook page

MANILA, Philippines – You may call it avant garde, but for the Los Angeles city government, “Project Runway’s” new promotional artwork is just too racy.

Too Fab reports that a billboard promoting the fashion reality show’s 12th season has been banned in LA. The ad shows host and judge Heidi Klum and mentor Tim Gunn in royal garb while nude male and female models lie on the ground before them.

As of writing, an edited version of the ad is up on LA’s Sunset Boulevard. In this version, the buttocks of two models seem to have been cropped out.

The ad is set to run on websites, in magazines, bus shelters and billboards all over the country. New York City will run an unedited version.

RISQUE. 'Project Runway's' promotions for season 9 feature a practically nude Heidi Klum. Image from the 'Project Runway' Facebook page

Risque promotional art is nothing new for “Project Runway.”

For season 9, Klum posed wearing nothing but a snipped pink tie. The season 10 poster showed her in lace lingerie lying on a pile of scissors. – With reports from Pia Ranada/Rappler.com
