MANILA, Philippines – On the 10th year of its designer collaborations, Swedish retail giant H&M is working with 30-year-old Taiwanese-American Alexander Wang for a special collection to hit stores November 6.
Rappler has the scoop on what is undoubtedly one of the most awaited collections to hit fashion retail.
View the teaser below and watch back on October 16 to see the full collection.
Alexander is the youngest ever designer to have been selected for the H&M designer collaborations. And in a collab series that was opened with Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld, that Wang is now the one carrying the torch speaks volumes about both the new rules and reigning tastes of the market.
He cuts across demographics, winning the hearts and credit cards of luxe buyers as the creative director of Balenciaga, capturing the youth with his eponymous Alexander Wang brand. And finally, he opens up to the mainstream market by partnering with H&M.
A few pieces from the sportif collection have been released on Alexander Wang’s Instagram. An ensemble has been previewed by pop star Rihanna. (READ: Alexander Wang x H&M: 5 things you must know)
