MANILA, Philippines – Sweet, tasty, delicious, and divine!

Has Candy Crush taken over your life? You are not alone.

This top grossing multiplatform app seems to be everywhere today.

If you haven’t played the game before, and if you’re like us, chances are you’d initially think, “heck it’s just like Bejeweled, why would I get hooked on a game that I’ve already played before.” After all, the premise of the game is the same, instead of jewels you have candies which you have to arrange into 3s, 4s or 5s to get through to higher rounds.

What’s different perhaps is the fact that you’ll need to connect to Facebook to advance in the game.

Yep, Facebook. While most games give you that as an option, the Candy Crush developers have built the game in such a way that at one point or another, you’ll really need the help of Facebook friends. Can’t get through a challenge? You will eventually run out of lives and the only way to continue is to wait it out about half an hour, or ask friends for lives. Then when you reach level 35, the only way to move on is via tickets – which only your friends can give you – unless you go the in-app route and buy them.

In time, you’ll build your own network of friends that you can count on.

Once you take a bite out of the apple there’s no turning back.

“How can anyone do anything else with this addiction?” Trust us, we know. Before long, you’ll end up losing sleep, skipping meals, and/or nagging friends for extra lives, tickets and/or new strategies to get through tricky levels.

But you’re not alone. And there’s no reason to feel embarassed. It happens to the best of us. In fact, when we scoured through Twitter to read through tweets with the phrase Candy Crush in them, we found out that some of our favorite personalities struggle through candies, jellies and chocolates too.

We may or may not have put this list together to make us feel better. Okay, it was a motivating factor.
