MANILA, Philippines –  Have you ever forgotten your smartphone at home? If you forget it, does it feel like you’re missing something? A viral 2-minute video starring Filipina American actress Charlene de Guzman and directed by Miles Crawford pokes fun at society’s addiction to their smart phones.

The video has over 20 million views as of posting.

“I came up with the idea for this video when I was at a concert seeing my favorite DJ,” said de Guzman on her Tumblr blog.

The video begins with a couple waking up in the morning and instead of talking, the guy is on his smart phone. They also go for a jog during a beautiful morning and the guy stops at the top of the mountain and instead of enjoying the view, he’s busy talking on his phone.

How many times have you ignored the person you’ve had dinner with to check your Facebook or Twitter accounts?

“It makes me sad,” said de Guzman. “Because there is something happening right in front of you, right this second, and you’re missing it.”
