MANILA, Philippines – The tweet archive is not a dream. Twitter has officially announced the launch of the archival services for a user’s tweets, with the company aiming for a worldwide rollout of the new service over the next few months.

Mollie Vandor of Twitter’s User Services Engineering Team posted the announcement on the company’s blog. She writes, “Today, we’re introducing the ability to download your Twitter archive, so you’ll get all your Tweets (including Retweets) going back to the beginning.”

The announcement continues by explaining some of the things you can do with the archive, namely the inclusion of navigation and ease-of-use options.

The statement mentions how “you can view your Tweets by month, or search your archive to find Tweets with certain words, phrases, hashtags or @usernames. You can even engage with your old Tweets just as you would with current ones.”
