Intel's new smartphones heading to Mobile World Congress
MANILA, Philippines - Intel has announced that it will be showing off some new tech at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in late February.
The Mobile World Congress will be held from Feb 25-28, 2013 at the Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain. According to Intel's announcement, the company "will showcase its latest smartphone technologies and devices running the Android platform."
Among these smartphone offerings that will be shown are "a new dual core, dual graphics platform, as well as OEM- and service provider-supported devices based on the company's new Intel Atom Z2420 platform targeted at emerging markets."
The announcement of the company's offerings for the Mobile World Congress coincide with an earlier announcement that Acer and Intel had teamed up to create the Acer Liquid C1. The Acer Liquid C1 is dubbed as "the first smartphone based on Intel Atom processor Z2420 for the Asia Pacific region." - Rappler.com
