MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – True to its roots, but embraces the evolution of its products. Yahoo! wanted its new logo to reflect that idea, and the company just unveiled its new logo to the public.

In a post on Tumblr, Yahoo! showed off two versions of the logo: one with purple text on a white background, and another that uses white text on a purple background.

Also part of the unveiling was a short video showing how the new logo came to be.

Yahoo! spent the past month gearing up for the logo redesign by showing off a different version of the Yahoo! logo a day on a minisite on Yahoo.com. All previous redesigns can be seen at the linked webpage.
