Disney Wish features entertainment, rides, and spaces inspired by Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, and Disney stories and characters

Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering unveiled on Friday, April 30, a first look of its newest ship Disney Wish, an immersive cruise experience with spaces inspired by the stories and characters of Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars.

Among its features are AquaMouse, a wild water ride and the first Disney attraction at sea with 760 feet of suspended winding tubes; the Hero Zone, a futuristic sports arena; and a Toy Story-themed water wonderland with a splash zone, wading pool, waterslide, and smoothie bar.

There are also adult-exclusive spaces called the Quiet Cove pool district with an infinity pool, poolside bar, and café; and Luna, a venue with live evening entertainment, bars, gourmet cafés, spas, and upscale lounges.

The Walt Disney Theatre will be the ship’s main theater for original, cruise-exclusive Broadway-style stage productions. For more private movie screenings, the Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas will show classic and first-run films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and more.

The Disney Wish ship will offer 3 new dining concepts, starting with Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure, a Frozen-themed theatrical dining experience with live entertainment and Nordic-inspired cuisine. Worlds of Marvel will allow guests to play an interactive role in an Avengers mission while dining, and 1923 will pay homage to Disney’s Californian heritage and golden legacy.

Toddlers and children will be able to enjoy the Marvel Super Hero Academy, the Fairytale Hall, and the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab.

Baby-sitting services for ages 6 months to 3 years are available at It’s a Small World Nursery.

Disney Cruise’s onboard accommodations include 1,254 staterooms and four royal suites that have ample space, access to verandas, and luxurious amenities.

Disney Wish starts sailing in summer 2022. Early booking for select Disney guests and Castaway Club members will begin on May 17, 2021, while bookings for the general public will open on May 27. – with reports from Aloe Ynion/Rappler.com
