A wrap up of Invasion Tour Davao
Davao was the first stop in this year’s Invasion Tour, and it was awesome

DAVAO, Philippines — Only on its sophomore year, the Invasion Tour has already made a name for itself as one of the most exciting parties to hit Davao. But this year, Spectrum Philippines, in collaboration with FrolicFox, has really outdone itself with a bigger and better stage, spectacular lights show, and of course, a fantastic roster of musicians.

The party happened on a Friday night at Crocodile Park Open Field. The venue featured a huge stage, with a giant Philippine eagle serving as the backdrop for the evening; a tribute to the Kadayawan Festival and Davao’s own rich culture. In the early hours, people were littered about the vast space buying beers, painting faces, playing games, and winning prizes. But as the night rolled on, we watched groups of Davao’s youth piling in the open field, foam clappers in one hand, and a beer in another, ready to seize the night.

Soon, the whole venue was packed with rowdy partygoers with painted faces, who waved their arms to the beat, and roared with each drop. The entire roster of Invasion’s musicians offered their own flavor of high energy EDM beats, what with the likes of Uberjak’d, No Class, Nix Damn P!, and Ace Ramos headlining the show. That night, Dabaweños were dripping with good vibrations, dancing the night away.

Invasion Davao is only the first leg of this coming Invasion Tour. Filipinos all around the country can still partake in the festivities, and experience the thrill of the nightlife in Bacolod, Iloilo, and Cebu in the next few months. Be sure to catch it. — Rappler.com
