Alice Dixson, Sunshine Cruz, Ina Raymundo prove 40 is the new 20
The ladies share their thoughts on eating right and getting active

MANILA, Philippines – Age is just a number for Alice Dixson, Sunshine Cruz, and Ina Raymundo. Even in their 40s, these women exude the sexy kind of confidence that you can’t help but take a second look their way.

During the Century Tuna press conference on Thursday, September 28, where they were announced as the brand’s premium line ambassadors, Alice, Sunshine, and Ina stressed the importance of keeping an active lifestyle to stay young. Despite their busy schedules, they all try to squeeze in a bit of cardio everyday, be it boxing, running, or swimming.

But more importantly, Ina shared that it’s all about watching what you eat.

“Eating right is really the best way to do it, to start a healthy lifestyle, you have to eat right. I really want to send a message to the millennials to eat healthy. I have 5 kids and that’s my intention everyday. I remind them to eat healthy because it’s really 80 percent of what you eat, 20 percent lang ‘yung fitness. Imagine? So you have to eat healthy. You have to know the right amount of food you should be eating and [its] quality. You have to educate yourself,” Ina explained.

INA RAYMUNDO. Aside from eating right, Ina does zumba to keep fit.

Sunshine, however, added that you don’t have to force yourself to eat healthy every single day. According to her having cheat days is just as necessary.

“It’s okay to have cheat days. Okay lang ‘yun kasi may mga cravings tayo but still kailangan talaga ‘yung food intake natin iniingatan (It’s okay because we also have cravings but you need to watch your food intake),” Sunshine added.

CHEAT DAYS. Sunshine Cruz says it's still okay to eat what you want, but in moderation.

As for Alice, she shared that keeping a positive attitude is her secret to looking young.

“I’m 48. I don’t feel 48 – whatever 48 might be like. I think it’s also your outlook in life – don’t sweat the small stuff. ‘Yung mga maliliit na bagay na mga problema (Those small problems). I always try to have a happy outlook in life. It will make you feel and look young, promise!”

ALMOST 50. Alice Dixson is set to appear in the movie 'Ghost Bride.'

In the soon to be aired Century Tuna commercial, Alice donned a sexy red two-piece bikini that showed off her curves. The Ghost Bride star revealed that there was no hesitation on her part. In fact, she was the one who actually suggested wearing one.

“I wasn’t sure I was going to wear a bikini. Pinag-usapan lang. (It was discussed) Then they asked me, ‘How do you want your swimsuit – full or two-piece?’ Sabi ko, mas may impact siguro ‘pag two-piece (I said there would be impact if I wore a two-piece). So 2 weeks before the commercial, I’m in Boracay, working out, doing those abs and crunches. Okay naman, successful naman (It was okay, it was successful).”

Alice is proud of her body and hopes that women shouldn’t be scared to show off their sexy side, especially if they worked hard for it.

“I think the older you get, the more you should show how fit you are. You should be an inspiration to other people kasi no matter what age you are, you can always take care of yourself,” she said.

Alice, Ina, and Sunshine are the new endorsers of Century Tuna, joining the likes of Gerald Anderson, Pia Wurtzbach, and Anne Curtis.

They may be in their 40s but Alice, Sunshine, and Ina still draw attention everywhere they go. Even their younger male co-stars compliment them from time to time. Although they appreciate the gesture, they shared that they never make a big deal out of it.

“Grateful pa rin kasi napapansin pa rin kami. Even if, ako, I’m almost 50. So…I’m triple their age in some instances or double their age. S’yempre it’s a big brag factor pero we don’t let it [go] to our heads. Hindi naman kinalalaki ng ulo ‘yan. It’s just part of our job to look good,” Alice said.

(I’m still grateful that we’re still being recognized. Even if I’m almost 50. So…I’m triple thier age in some instances or double their age. Of course it’s a big brag factor but we don’t let it get into out heads. It’s nothing ot be arrogant about. It’s just part of our job to look good.) – Rappler.com
