Big Data case study at #ThinkPH: Philippine elections
MANILA, Philippines - Politicians, experts and even the chairman of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) weighed in on the most recent application of big data in the Philippines, the 2013 midterm elections.
Representatives Miro Quimbo of the Liberal Party and Toby Tiangco of the United Nationalist Alliance join Comelec chairman Sixto Brillantes in reacting to talks given by Senator Grace Poe, Narciso Reyes, and Rappler's Gemma Bagayaua-Mendoza.
A panel discussion "The Road to 2016" followed the presentations. Quimbo, Tiangco, and Brillantes are joined by Reyes and Bagayaua-Mendoza to talk about the pulse of the elections and the emerging trends leading up to 2016.
