The fallen 44 troops of Philippine National Police Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) did not just leave a mourning nation behind.
Before they became heroes, they were husbands, fathers, fiancés, and sons to their loved ones who are now grieving for their loss.
According to PNP spokesperson Chief Supt. Generoso Cerbo, the families of the fallen cops are entitled to benefits.
Depending on their rank and length of service, the families of each policeman will receive at least P950,000 and posthumous promotion or awards.
Aside from psychosocial counseling, the families will also get education and livelihood assistance from the DSWD. – Rappler.com
