Filipino who enters Disneyland with loaded gun arrested

MANILA, Philippines – Court documents released by a California court to local media on August 18 revealed that a Filipino male was arrested in Anaheim, California, on July 9 at the Disneyland theme park for carrying a loaded weapon. 

According to local news KTLA 5, Percival Aguilar Agoncillo Jr, 44, was charged on July 13 with possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of ammunition by a prohibited person.

Agoncillo, 44, from San Francisco, has a previous drug conviction from 2013. A blog called Disneyhub reported that he told police he heard voices inside his head, telling him to “kill as many people as possible,” suggesting that Agoncillo’s reason for bringing the gun was to massacre people at the park.

But Police Sargeant Daron Wyatt told KTLA that he was “not aware” of such plans and could not reveal details of the investigation to the public.

Agoncillo posted $20,000 bail and is due back in court on August 27. – Rappler.com
