JESUS FALLS THE FIRST TIME

V/. We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
R/. Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew:

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Mt 11: 28-30)

Points for reflection:

When Jesus falls the first time, he shows us a model in times of powerlessness.
What can we learn from how Jesus conducted himself?
What things burden us at present? Let us bring these up to God in prayer.
