MANILA, Philippines – At least 2,300 residents have been affected by typhoon Vinta as of 12nn Friday, November 1, according to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Ilocos region has the most number of affected individuals at 1,446. There are 405 affected people in Cagayan Valley and 450 in the Cordillera Region.

In Cagayan Valley, the displaced stay in 4 government evacuation centers in the towns of Gonzaga, Sta. Teresita, Ballesteros, and Moconacon in Isabela.

The village hall in Barangay 27 in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte was also used as a temporary shelter. Five families who sought temporary shelter returned to their homes on Friday.
