Douthit pledges support for Yolanda victims in SEAG quest
MANILA, Philippines - There's no stopping Marcus Douthit from giving back to the country that embraced him ever since he arrived.
The naturalized Gilas Pilipinas center is the latest athlete to pledge support for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda in Tacloban. (READ: Sympathy, aid for Haiyan survivors pour in from sports world)
In a tweet on Wednesday, December 4, Douthit said he will donate P500 for every point and rebound he gets in the South East Asian (SEA) Games basketball tournament.

Douthit is joined by Gilas Pilipinas cadet pool members Jake Pascual, Ronald Pascual, Garvo Lanete, Kevin Alas, Matt Ganuelas, and college hoop stars Prince Caperal, Jericho Cruz, Mac Belo, Kiefer Ravena, Kevin Ferrer, Ray Parks as the Philippines take on their South East Asian neighbors.
Roi Sumang and Arnold Van Opstal are also listed as reserves.
Gilas will play their first match against Malaysia Monday, December 9.
