Rappler PLUS briefing: China’s presence in the PH

MANILA, Philippines – On Tuesday, August 13, at 5 pm, Rappler will be holding an exclusive briefing for Rappler PLUS members entitled China’s presence in the PH. Rappler business reporter Ralf Rivas, along with economist JC Punongbayan, will be examining the impact of China’s entry into the Philippines.

They will answer questions such as: What are the effects of China’s presence on industries such as real estate and online gambling, and even on investments and labor? What are the immediate results of China’s aggression in the West Philippine Sea? How should government and ordinary citizens respond given all this?

This is the second briefing in our two-part series on China. Last July 11, we held the first talk, China: The Big Picture. It focused on China’s rapid growth and its intentions at the macro-level. JC Punongbayan led that first session.
