MANILA, Philippines – In a callout posted on Facebook, disaster risk reduction advocate Dr Ted Esguerra seeks assistance from fellow responders to help quell the ongoing Mt Apo fire. (READ: Fire-hit Mt Apo cleared of climbers)
Priority needs are ready-to-eat meals and bottled water for the deployed responders.
“Let us support by sending more able-bodied manpower with outdoor logistics; water and food for the responders and communication implements,” wrote Esguerra on his Facebook page.
Esguerra reported that the fire has been ongoing for 4 days, and that with the extent of the fire, this operation will last until mid-April.
