PABLO VICTIMS. Filipinos victimed by typhoon Pablo call for help

MANILA, Philippines – Calls for help have mounted as Typhoon “Pablo” triggered flash floods in various areas in Mindanao and the Visayas Tuesday, December 4.

Residents have reached out to Rappler via social media:

*Boljoon, Cebu

As of 10:30pm, December 4: “I called my family there and my cousin told me that 4 houses were washed away while the rest were damaged. The water has reached the roads which is is now impassible. Residents have evacuated and found shelter at the Patrocinio de Maria church.” – Daryl Mae Getubig

*Cateel, Davao

As of 10:54pm, December 4: “My brother called it ‘doomsday.’ I don’t now where my brothers are staying right now. Our house is roofless, so are other houses. People are panic-buying. Telcoms are down. No electricity since early morning. Number of casualties have reached 23. Devastation is wide and evident. We need help, fast!” – Olan Fernandez Emboscado, Blogger from Davao

*Monkayo, Compostella Valley

As of 11:00pm, December 4: “Poor signal in area. I was able to talk to my friend only once. Around 10pm, she called to say she was fearing for the storm to get stronger. No place where they can evacuate. Please help them get in touch with local government.” – @Damsel_Maniya
