MANILA, Philippines – For many Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 is a special place of waiting.

Families come to the airport terminal either to warmly send off a loved one or welcome him or her back to the country with a grand reunion. Children are not exempt from the occasion.

Kids waiting at NAIA Terminal 1 reflect the growing number of family breadwinners trying their luck and opting for a more lucrative job abroad.

Many of these children have yet to acquire the capacity to comprehend the choices of their parents. All they know is that they are waiting either for daddy to board the plane or for mommy’s kiss and pasalubong. – Rappler.com
