Networked News: How New Media Is Shaping Stories in Asia and the Pacific

SEOUL, South Korea – About 300 journalists representing 100 news organizations from 27 countries in the world gather at the Yonsei University in Seoul South Korea for East-West Center’s 2012 International Media Conference. This year’s theme is “Networked News: How New Media Is Shaping Stories in Asia and the Pacific”.

Rappler CEO and Executive Editor Maria Ressa is a speaker on Day 2, part of “Digital Innovators in Asia & the US,” while Special Projects Director Michael Josh Villanueva will be conducting workshops on: “Social Media in Newsgathering & Storytelling” and how to “Supercharge your Impact through Social Media.”  Amy Pamintuan, Editor-in-Chief of The Philippine Star, is part of “Transforming Traditional Media in the Digital Age” on Day 2.
